OUR MISSION

DUSA is a not-for-profit, philanthropic women’s organization, dedicated to serving the West Point community and sharing the ideals of Army values, while inspiring women, preserving Army heritage and encouraging patriotism.

Our goal is to uplift, unite, and support our community by offering service opportunities, educational scholarships, community grants, and free events.

OUR HISTORY

Our rich history was founded at Fort Benning, Georgia, in 1928 by 40 daughters and granddaughters as a way to promote friendships, preserve the traditons and customs of our military heritage, and maintain connections with other Army dependents in military installations around the world.

Nestled in our beautiful scenic Hudson Valley, DUSA West Point conducted its first meeting at West Point in 1948 in a Lusk home across from Michie Stadium and was officially recognized as an approved organization in 1955.

WHO WE ARE

We are an inspirational, diverse, and supportive group of women comprised of civilian and active duty service members who are spouses, daughters, or grand-daughters of active duty or retired service members from the Army, Navy, Marines, and Air Force.

DUSA is a not-for-profit 501(c)(4) organization. All proceeds generated by the DUSA Gift Shop located in the West Point Museum are poured into the West Point Community through free events, monthly acts of service, community grants, and educational scholarships. We are goverened by an all-volunteer DUSA Board, and we have the most dedicated employees who work diligently to provide the best products and customer service always.
